We all love to get feedback and we all love to hear compliments. We don't like to get snarky comments about why our use of the past tense was incorrect or why somebody thinks an AT-AT could never be used in a beach assault. My point being that sharing something like a story can be very personal and therefore the author can be very vulnerable. I am know we all know this, but I feel like I want to say it anyways. Please be kind, respectful, and follow the golden rule when making comments on others stories. I have included a link for something that is geared towards dance, but is an amazing guide when addressing any kind of art. I first encountered this while in college and did a master class with the creator of the process. I love it! While I am not implying we follow this example exactly when giving feedback, I think it does offer a wonderful process for approaching critique on someoneelse's art. www.communityarts.net/readingroom/archivefiles/2003/10/toward_a_proces.php
